Supporting The Guardian Angels
A letter to our supporters:
Amid a struggling economy, political change, and social flux, the mission of The Guardian Angels remains steadfast. We work each day to help safeguard families and children on the streets, in neighborhoods, in schools, and in cyberspace. Communities plagued by violence are recognizing the value of our model: unarmed citizen patrols working hand in hand with government and law enforcement to restore and maintain safety. We bring resources and experience to empower, support and train new recruits.
The troubling consequences of bullying, cyberbullying, and social media dangers have made national news headlines in recent months. In the schools, The Guardian Angels continue outreach to students and staff through our Role Model Program, sharing alternative ways to resolve conflicts, interact with peers, avoid gangs, and stop bullying by promoting forgiveness, kindness and understanding. CyberAngels, our Internet safety education program, continues to provide information to help keep families stay safe while online.

Where Your Contributions Go
The Guardian Angels programs do make a difference. Our unarmed safety patrols, readily recognizable with red berets and jackets, deter crime on streets and subways. Our Guardian Angels youth programs teach personal safety, online safety, civic contribution, and inclusion. Messages focus on alternatives to gangs, making good decisions, conflict resolution, and sticking up for one another.
